On a Rainy Day

Image
One lovely morning,  I woke up to see rain pouring.  I could smell the wet mud, Suddenly I heard a thud.  On looking outside i saw a fallen tree,  I sat beside the window sipping tea.  The tree had fallen,  And the flowers lost there pollen.  Just then I saw a paper boat,  In the muddy water swiftly it was afloat.  The boat went far,  And stopped near an abandoned car.  A kid came rushing behind the boat, He was wearing a white raincoat.  He picked the boat which was wet,  Looking at the deformed boat he became upset.  Just then he turned back,  I wonder what he was looking at.  Just then a lady came running, She handed him a new paper boat and he started blushing.  The lady took the boy home,  And the clouds lightened in the sky like white foam.  It started to drizzle,  And a rainbow appeared in the middle.  As it stopped raining the sun appeared in the sky,  The birds started to fly, And the rainbow shined high, While I munched an apple pie.

A Ghost in My House

Image
One scary night,  I woke up in fright,  There was something staring at me from a height,  I switched on the light,  But saw nothing except the wall which was white,  I lay down thinking everything was alright.  Just then a heard a voice,  I thought it was the toys.  I decided to check,  With a little spec.  As I got up,  I dropped a cup.  Frightened, I stepped out of bed,  With a thought in my head.  Was it ghost or was it my imagination,  I needed justification.  I went out of my room,  Lying on the floor I saw a broom.  I could hear someone whispering,  I turned to see a candle flickering.  Scared to see that I ran outside the house,  And saw a dead mouse.  As my sister came out,  Laughing aloud, she put me in doubt.  To my surprise, She had some scary supplies,  At that moment I knew it was a trick,  I am sure she's sick!

Mom

The little mischievous child,  Grew up to be a bit mild You taught her how to walk, Running behind her all round the clock. Styling her hair,  Showing so much care. You dressed her fancy,  Scolded her for eating lots of candy. Took care of her in her sickness, Without any selfishness. I destroyed a lot of your cakes, But now I know the effort it takes  You know what I want, But you always give a taunt. A heart of pure gold, You never served me anything cold. I might fight a lot with you, But my love for you will always be true Mothers day is a precious day Celebrated on the second Sunday of May
